What is your job title, and what will you be doing?
Graphic Designer. I am part of the Communications team providing design support for a number of different programs.
Tell us about your education and/or work experience prior to joining the MNCWTA.
Prior to MNCWTA I was a designer with the NSF Center for Sustainable Polymers in the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. I have also been a design consultant in a range of sectors from commercial manufacturing, to healthcare, and nonprofit organizations.
How long have you been working in your field?
I have been a professional creative for 12 years.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
There is always so much to learn; from accessibility, to copyright, and advanced digital design techniques like 3D animation and compositing.
What are you most passionate about professionally?
Service. I recognize that visual communication is a skillset many find challenging to express. I take pride in helping individuals with great ideas amplify their impact through effective visual storytelling.
What do you wish you were good at?
I wish I had musical skills! I love music - but it’s not intuitive for me.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Biking. Fun fact, 2023 was my first year biking through all four seasons.
